LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Friday federal court filing would add Conway schools to the lawsuit opposing the law for the display of the 10 Commandments in Arkansas classrooms.
The lawsuit has led to an Aug. 4 temporary injunction preventing the 10 Commandments in the Fayetteville, Springdale, Bentonville and Siloam Springs School Districts pending the suit going to trial. Parents in those districts felt Act 573 of 2025 was an unfair effort to indoctrinate their children.

The Friday filing asks to amend the complaint of the original suit. It was filed on behalf of the Conway parents, who went to an open house at their child’s school and saw the 10 Commandments posted in classrooms.
