Victim’s family seeks justice after dog attack in North Little Rock

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — In June of this year, 15-year-old Makayla Fortner was killed in a dog attack in saline county, a few weeks after another dog attack took place. Concern and outraged was sparked in saline county asking for change. Then last Saturday a north little rock woman on a walk to a store nearby was attacked by at least five dogs.

Last Saturday 57 year old Teresa Williams was walking to a store near by her home when she was attacked by 5 to 7 dog. According to a police report from the North Little Rock Police Department, the dogs drug Williams up the street. Her daughter Shardae Lewis who got the call from nurses last week and has been with her mom in the hospital since.

“Just closing her eyes, she’ll think that the dogs are on her, the nurses, the doctors, myself, my family, is having to tell her, you know, you’re not being attacked by the dogs. There’s no dogs here. You’re all right, you’re okay. She said for her, it’s an every second of the day ordeal. It’s not just a onetime event that occurred. It happens over and over, and it’s something that she can’t escape,” Lewis said…
