Fewer Arkansas counties under burn ban as Labor Day approaches

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas is ending the week in a much better position moisture wise than the week started. There are about a dozen Arkansas counties left with a burn ban. That’s down from a high of around 30 counties.

The burn ban in Arkansas County was lifted yesterday. Burn bans do still exist in Desha, Jefferson and Monroe counties. However, with most of the state now in a low risk for wildfire danger, those burn bans should be lifted by Labor Day…
