Jacksonville man sentenced to life for murders of mother, infant son

A Pulaski County jury has convicted Willie Mott of capital murder and first-degree murder in the deaths of his girlfriend, Teangela Tate, and her 2-month-old son, Noel.

Mott was arrested in February 2024 after the bodies of Tate and her son were discovered near an I-440 ramp in Little Rock. Investigators said Mott fatally shot Tate inside their Jacksonville home before leaving her body along the interstate. The cause of Noel’s death was not released.
