‘We’ll fight it until I can’t fight anymore,’ Maumelle school resource officer reflects on battle with kidney cancer

MAUMELLE, Ark. – A Maumelle High School resource officer is sharing his battle against cancer — and how the love he has for his school community keeps him going.

Christopher Stroud has been serving the community of Maumelle for over a decade. In October of 2024, Stroud was diagnosed with kidney cancer.

His battle took a turn for the worse when he discovered the cancer had spread to his liver and pancreas in August of this year.
