Families remember loved ones at Arkansas Fallen Workers Memorial dedication

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — For families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty, Thursday’s dedication of the Fallen Workers Memorial was more than just a ceremony — it was a moment of remembrance.

Edna Hensley lost her husband, Billy Hensley, in 1991 while he served with the Arkansas Department of Transportation. He was killed on the job when he was hit by a car — a message she says still stays with her.

“I was getting ready to go to school and somebody knocked on my door. It was a highway guy who said that Bill was hurt. I couldn’t see him because I was in shock,” she said…
