Indian Removal logistics change in Little Rock (1831): The Arkansas Gazette announced on October 19, 1831 that Capt. Jacob Brown had arrived to replace Maj. Richard Graham Clark as head of the Office of Removal and Subsistence in Little Rock, an office that provisioned Choctaw, Cherokee, Muscogee (Creek), Seminole, Chickasaw and oversaw Quapaw removal operations across Arkansas.
