Aaron Spencer’s bid for sheriff gains traction as trial over fatal shooting nears

LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KATV) — It’s been just over a week since an Arkansas father, Aaron Spencer who is charged with killing the man accused of abusing his teenage daughter, announced his run for sheriff.

Spencer, the 37-year-old father is now running for Lonoke County Sheriff and says he wants to fix a system that failed to protect his daughter.

His story made national headlines last fall when investigators say he shot and killed 67-year-old Michael Fosler, a man accused of grooming and sexually assaulting Spencer’s 14 year-old daughter…
