Arkansas State Police investigating fatal pursuit on Interstate 40 that ended with TVI maneuver

POPE COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas State Police is investigating a pursuit on Interstate 40 on Wednesday that ended with a trooper performing a TVI maneuver.

ASP said in a news release that around 4 p.m., a trooper saw a woman, later identified as Andrea Thompson, 49, driving a blue Nissan Versa at a high rate of speed westbound on I-40.

The vehicle was seen passing other vehicles by using the shoulder and nearly hitting two motorists while attempting to evade the trooper, ASP said.
