Kroger offers support to Arkansans during government shutdown

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — As the government shutdown continues, it’s affecting thousands of people nationwide, including right here in the Natural state.

This week, the Arkansas Department of Human Services released a statement warning of possible delays or disruptions to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Beginning November 1, the SNAP retail system could disallow purchases , even if someone has funds in their account, or cause delays in processing applications and renewals. This could impact more than 240,000 people who receive SNAP benefits in Arkansas…
