Arkansas man warns others after being targeted in jury duty scam

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A family is sounding the alarm after a phone call on Wednesday left a husband and father believing he would be arrested for failing to appear for a jury summons.

After calling LRPD and the sheriff’s office, it was discovered to be a scam, and they hope their story can help keep others safe. It was a normal Wednesday for Peter Emanuel until he got a call.

“Middle of the afternoon, they claim to be with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, and said that I had received a jury summons and that I had not shown up for court, and that there was therefore a warrant out, two warrants out for me, because I had not shown it for court. I said, well, I never received the jury summons,” Peter said…
