Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock employs many dedicated staff members, including Debbie Izor, a critical care flight nurse with the Angel One Transport Team. Izor was recently featured in the hospital’s profile series, ‘Celebrating Who We Are.’ Her career has been influenced by personal loss and her commitment to patient care.
On July 2, 1996, Izor’s seven-year-old son, Jerron Lee Stone, died in a three-wheeler accident. Earlier that day, Izor had left home to apply for a position with Angel One. Despite this loss, she accepted the job and has worked with the team for 27 years. Later, she also experienced the loss of her son Jordan Jeffrey Stone at age 28.
