LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—The Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission on Thursday brought the power of the community to life, hosting its annual pre-Thanksgiving food drive.
The commission, with the help of volunteers, distributed more than 10,000 pounds of food to families across central Arkansas.

Hundreds of cars lined West 9th Street as early as 3 a.m., with residents hoping to receive boxes filled with meat, produce and non-perishables, part of the Commission’s effort to ensure that no one goes hungry this holiday season.
