Memphis, TN – The National Weather Service in Memphis is warning residents across the Mid-South to prepare for the possibility of severe thunderstorms between 3 PM and 9 PM Friday as a cold front pushes through the region. Forecasters say damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats during the evening hours, with an isolated tornado not ruled out.
According to the National Weather Service, the highest local risk for severe storms Friday will be in parts of northern Mississippi, western Tennessee, and northeastern Arkansas, where scattered strong storms could develop ahead of the cold front.
