Arkansas PBS director faces drug charges after traffic stop on I-40

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The director of public affairs at Arkansas PBS, Michael Hibblen, is facing drug charges after being arrested at a traffic stop.

On Monday, Nov 3, Hibblen was pulled over off I-40 Westbound for going 80 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone. He told the Pulaski County Deputy who pulled him over that he was heading home after dropping a friend off at a gas station at the Prothro Junction exit.

Hibblen consented to a vehicle search, the deputy finding crystal-like shards in a cupholder suspected to be methamphetamine. Hibblen was then arrested, booked into Pulaski County Jail, and his car was impounded…
