NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — In honor of Veterans Day, an annual flag laying ceremony was held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
The annual event serves as a tribute to those who have served in the military. “It’s just our way of paying tribute to people that gave their lives and served and to the military,” said John Penrod, treasurer of Arkansas Cemetery Foundation. “I’m hoping that brings more patriotism. That’s what we need is a little bit more patriotism.”
