Northern Lights make rare appearance across Arkansas; high chance to see again tonight

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KATV) — The Northern Lights made a rare appearance across Arkansas last night, lighting up the sky with shades of red, green and purple.

Photos from across the state show the aurora borealis visible well beyond its usual northern range, which is an uncommon sight in Arkansas.
