1824 – Quapaw cede remaining Arkansas homelands (treaty signed near present Jefferson County). Territorial secretary Robert Crittenden obtained final Quapaw lands on Nov. 15, 1824; some Quapaw were briefly relocated onto Caddo-held country before removal to Indian Territory.
