LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — With the annual Arkansas Stop the Violence bicycle drive now underway, the George L. Douglas Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1316 donated 20 brand-new bicycles on Saturday.
The donation took place at their historic VFW building at 2304 Arch Street in downtown Little Rock.
“Each year, the Arkansas Stop the Violence movement has a bike drive, and this is our 18th year. We did a drive to help underprivileged kids here in the central Arkansas area who otherwise wouldn’t have anything for Christmas,” said Rev. Benny Johnson of Arkansas Stop the Violence.
