Study ranks Arkansas #3 in nation for obesity

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A recent study into adult health issues placed Arkansas at number three in the nation for obesity.

The NiceRX study showed that Arkansas has a 40% obesity rate. Arkansas ranked behind number one, West Virginia, and number two, Mississippi.

Study ranks Little Rock as second-most obese and overweight city

The study’s authors said the 40% rate for Arkansas represents roughly 1 million people.

The study, titled “Weight Worries: The US States Affected Most by Obesity, Insufficient Sleep, and Anxiety Disorders,” took statistics on more than obesity.
