CONWAY, Ark. – The $5 million bond for a Conway doctor who surrendered his license after rape accusations remains in place after a Wednesday afternoon bond reduction hearing.
The attorney for 65-year-old Dr. Guy Langley Peeples of Vilonia asked for a reduction in the $5 million bond set after his Nov. 18 arrest. The bond conditions also required Peeples to wear an ankle monitor and to surrender his passport upon posting bond.

Peeples has remained in the Faulkner County Detention Center since his arrest for felony rape and two counts of sexual assault, resulting from a Nov. 10 investigation into his treatment of a patient in an exam room on Nov. 9. The examination in question was seen by a virtual attendant assigned to the 70-year-old patient.
Peeples’ attorney filed on Dec. 8 for a bond reduction based on Peeples’ long history in the community and his voluntary surrender after learning a warrant had been issued against him. The filing said Peeples was at an inpatient treatment facility in Mississippi when he learned of the warrant.
