Arkansas seniors urged to prioritize health

Around 370,000 Arkansans are between ages 50 and 59, and health experts said they should focus on preventive health strategies to add quality to later years.

They stressed regular physical activity and proper nutrition are critical for managing chronic conditions and protecting brain health. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, physical activity can help prevent or manage many health issues common in older adults, like heart disease and diabetes, while also boosting cognitive function.
