Arkansas panel OKs amended child welfare consulting contract after lawmaker raises concerns

Arkansas lawmakers approved changes to a contract between the state’s child welfare agency and a California-based company Friday after a House member questioned the quality of the company’s work and whether the state has become too reliant on it.
