LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Jerry Spurgers, a retired FBI agent, has turned his years of experience in law enforcement into a gripping true crime book titled “Murder at Midnight.” Spurgers, who spent 24 years working in the Little Rock field office, was inspired to write after friends encouraged him to share his intriguing stories.
The book centers on a case from Malvern, Ark., involving a missing woman who was an informant. Spurgers explained, “In October 2016, the FBI gets a call from the Potts Spring County Sheriff’s Office. They have a missing adult woman and ask for our help.” The investigation, which took nearly four years, was a collaborative effort between the FBI and local law enforcement.
