Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office reveals details leading to school janitor’s termination

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KATV) — There is new information from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office about what led to the termination of the janitor at Bayou Meto Elementary School in Jacksonville.

Channel 7 News obtained the case summary of this situation from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, which contains complaints and observations from elementary staff, administration correspondence, as well as the arrest affidavit.

In October, Harold Butchart, a former custodian at Bayou Meto, was arrested on charges of sexual assault after an investigation of him making inappropriate contact with female students. These new complaints are what sounded the alarm into Butchart’s alleged inappropriate behavior…
