LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Zoo officials said they are taking steps to protect their birds from the avian flu.
According to zoo officials, two avian flu cases found close to the zoo have led them to temporarily close their Tropical Bird House. Officials noted that one case was only 30 miles away.
“The flamingos, chickens and geese will also be off exhibit at the Arkansas Heritage Farm,” zoo officials said. “We will reassess the situation in the coming days.”
