Arkansas man sentenced to over 10 years for methamphetamine possession

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — An Arkansas man has now been sentenced to more than a decade in prison after he was convicted of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to reports, in early March 2024, officials with the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police both conducted a traffic stop in which 46-year-old Chauncy Slay of North Little Rock was a passenger.

Officers observed that Slay was acting nervously during the stop and learned that he was on parole with a search waiver on file. He was then asked to exit the vehicle and reportedly began arguing with the officers…
