LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Following a shooting involving an ICE officer in Minneapolis, protests spread across the nation, including two events in Little Rock that drew hundreds of people on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, more than a hundred demonstrators chanted and carried signs along Geyer Springs Road in southwest Little Rock, expressing their disapproval of ICE tactics and the use of force by federal agents. Renee Good’s fatal shooting in Minneapolis, according to participants, was the catalyst for the protest.
“It’s just heartbreaking, tragic, and very upsetting,” said Emma Field, an Arkansan who attended the protest.
