“We’ve been blessed” | Historic Lonoke church meets for first time since fire

LONOKE, Ark. — On Sunday, a Lonoke congregation met for the first time since a fire destroyed their historic worship sanctuary.

The fire, which occurred on January 5th, destroyed the 109-year-old sanctuary at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, along with much of the church’s entryway.

“Everything burned up in the church,” Rickey Phillips, who’s been attending the church for over fifty years, said. “We lost everything. It was a total loss.”…
