Arkansas woman narrowly escapes injury after rock thrown from Bryant Parkway overpass

BRYANT, Ark. (KATV) — A Saline County driver narrowly avoided a tragedy similar to a deadly 2005 incident after a large rock was thrown onto her car from an overpass on Interstate 30 on Sunday.

Kim Roberson was driving eastbound toward Little Rock just after noon when she heard a loud crash and realized her sunroof had been shattered. The interior sunroof cover, however, prevented the rock from striking her directly.

“The first thing that I noticed was a loud sound, and I thought maybe my windows had been shot out. It was so loud,” Roberson said. “My immediate thought was my sunroof. But I had the sunroof cover closed, so I couldn’t see it. But I could hear rattles.”…
