Shreveport, Louisiana – A sharp blast of colder air is settling across the ArkLaTex, bringing the coldest temperatures so far this winter to much of north Louisiana, east Texas, and southern Arkansas as the weekend gets underway. Daytime temperatures will struggle to warm, and overnight lows are expected to dip well below freezing in many areas.
According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, highs Saturday are expected to range from the mid-40s to mid-50s across the region. Areas such as Texarkana, Hope, and El Dorado are likely to remain in the lower to mid-40s, while Shreveport, Natchitoches, and Monroe may reach the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
