JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Towns across Northeast Arkansas are preparing for winter weather, with mayors sharing similar strategies to keep roads clear and residents safe.
In Craighead County, the town of Bono began making preparations ahead of the snow by placing sand at intersections.
“Well before the bad weather starts, we have sand we will put in the intersections. It won’t do a lot when the snow is actually falling, but as soon as it stops, we will get out there with our tractors and our backhoe and start grating the roads,” Bono Mayor Dan Shaw said…
