National Park Service seeking public’s help in locating missing Arkansas man

BUXTON, N.C. (KNWA/KFTA) — The National Park Service is asking for the public’s help in locating an Arkansas man reported missing earlier this month.

Chris Palmer, 39, was last in contact with his family on Jan. 9. He is described as Caucasian, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with blue eyes and strawberry-blond hair.

NPS said that on Jan. 12, park rangers found Palmer’s red 2017 Ford F-250 stuck on the beach at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, located on North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

Officials said the vehicle remained unclaimed, and authorities in Arkansas declared Palmer missing on Jan. 16.
