North Little Rock adult club loses liquor license in Arkansas Alcohol Beverage Control decision

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Board said on Wednesday that the decision has been made to take the liquor license of a North Little Rock adult club.

Officials said the Peppermint Hippo off Interstate 40 in North Little Rock has lost its Private Club Class B permit. That permit allowed the club to remain open until 5 a.m., officials said.

Board Director Christy Bjornson said the decision came from reports of the club making multiple serious violations, some resulting in injuries or death, making it an immediate danger to public health. Officials added that additional reports of unauthorized credit card transactions, some for tens of thousands of dollars, were a factor in the decision, as were the multiple open felony investigations by police into these transactions.

The Peppermint Hippo has 15 days to appeal before the full ABC board. The revocation remains in place through the appeal process, officials said…
