Little Rock, Arkansas – A widespread and dangerous winter storm is impacting nearly all of Arkansas, bringing heavy snow, sleet, and crippling ice that is expected to make travel extremely hazardous and cause power outages through Sunday evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect statewide through Sunday afternoon. Northern Arkansas, including areas such as Harrison, Mountain Home, Batesville, and Mountain View, is expected to receive 6 to 12 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts in the higher elevations of the Ozarks.
