ARKANSAS, USA — Snow, sleet, and freezing temperatures this weekend have prompted several churches to close their doors for Sunday services on Jan. 25.
While many officials said they are glad the winter weather hit over the weekend when less people would have to get on the roads, it is still disrupting some weekly activities, including attending church.
Here are the churches that have decided to cancel services or switch to virtual services for Sunday, Jan. 25:
Fort Smith
- First Christian Church
- Rye Hill Baptist Church
- Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (masses canceled for Saturday, Sunday and Monday)
- West-Ark Church of Christ (online only at 10:30 a.m.)
Tontitown
- Freedom Fellowship NWA
Fayetteville
- Mount Comfort Church of Christ
- Combs St. Church of Christ (virtual services only)
Caulksville
- Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church
Subiaco
- St. Benedict Parish
Bella Vista
- United Lutheran Church
