LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Auto tech at Meineke Car Care Center in North Little Rock, Marcus Worthy, said defrosting your car for at least 15 minutes before getting the ice off makes it a whole lot easier.
“If you’re on the freeway, and those ice shards fly off, they are heavy. And if they hit the windshield — I mean you lose control. Anything could happen,” Worthy said.

If you don’t have an ice scraper, you could also try using things around your home to get the ice off – like a broom.
“It’s got the length. You don’t have to be tall,” Worth said, “With the car warming up on the inside, with the defrost on.”…
