NORTHWEST ARKANSAS/RIVER VALLEY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Storm Prediction Center collaborated with the Cooperative Institute for Severe and High-Impact Weather Research and Operations (CIWRO) and has released a new Severe Hazards Data Viewer, where users can interact with climatology data dating back 30 years.
The climatology data includes hazards such as wind, tornado, hail, lightning, and fire, and the 30-year timeframe is from 1994 to 2024. Specifically, the data shared is the probability of a certain event happening within a 25-mile range.
