Co-founder of Arkansas whites-only group sued over Ecuador land deal

SHARP COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Peter Csere, a co-founder of the controversial whites-only Arkansas community Return to the Land (RTTL), is facing a lawsuit filed by a Sharp County man who alleges Csere failed to convey legal title after collecting thousands of dollars in connection with a property transaction in Ecuador.

The lawsuit centers on Fruit Haven Eco-village, a private intentional community founded in Ecuador in 2016 that is not affiliated with RTTL.

The complaint alleges Csere and several related business entities accepted payments for a fractional land interest but never completed the legal transfer. Csere and the companies deny the allegations.
