Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible late today through Saturday night

There will be a threat for strong to severe thunderstorms as early as late this afternoon but more likely this evening into the overnight hours across extreme Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma and Southwest Arkansas, mainly near and northwest of the I-30 Corridor. Damaging thunderstorm winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes will be possible. In addition, excessive heavy rainfall will be possible. This threat will expand into the remainder of Northeast Texas, Southwest Arkansas and all of Northern Louisiana during the day Saturday into Saturday Night as a cold front moves slowly into the region from the northwest.
