Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Authorities say a homicide suspect wanted in connection with the killing of a 40-year-old woman has now been captured after several days on the run. Investigators with the Pine Bluff Police Department confirmed that Samuel Wimbly was taken into custody and will soon face serious charges tied to the violent incident.
Police announced that Wimbly will be booked into the Jefferson County Jail upon his return to Pine Bluff. He is expected to face charges of capital murder along with possession of a firearm by certain persons. These charges stem from a shooting that left Kinyatta Ringo-Wimbly dead inside her home earlier this month.
Officials shared that the arrest was made possible through cooperation between multiple law enforcement agencies. According to authorities, “On March 5, 2026, Samuel Wimbly was located in Little Rock by members of the United States Marshals Service. Wimbly was taken into custody without incident and will be transported back to Pine Bluff this evening.”…
