NLR armed career criminal sentenced to 15 years

NORTH LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A multi-convicted felon from North Little Rock was recently sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a machine gun.

A federal grand jury indicted 35-year-old Shabazz Naeem Caradine in a two-count indictment. Caradine pleaded guilty to the charges on Oct. 16, 2025. In addition to the 15-year sentence, Caradline was also hit with a 10-year sentence for possessing a machine gun. The two sentences will be served concurrently. Caradine was also sentenced to three years of supervised release for each count.
