Thousands remain without power in Arkansas after storms; Saline County among hardest hit

BRYANT, Ark. (KATV) — Thousands of Arkansas residents remained without power Monday after storms caused widespread outages across the state, though utility crews made steady progress restoring service throughout the day.

At the height of the outages, about 50,000 customers were without electricity statewide. That number had dropped significantly by Monday evening, according to utility companies working to restore service.
