LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock Compassion Center is asking the public for donations in support of its planned Easter service and holiday dinner.
Officials said record crowds of 700 to 800 people are expected for the April 5 event. The planned dinner is ham, vegetables and mashed potatoes, with home-made fruit cobbler for dessert.
Why is Easter never on the same Sunday?
Center food needs are more than 50 hams, potatoes, and fresh vegetables like onions, peppers, and lettuce. Both individual- and industrial-sized canned goods are needed for food boxes and for the meals served at the center.
All donations can be dropped off at the Compassion Center , 3618 W. Roosevelt Street, during the week prior to the event, officials said, adding that financial donations are always welcome at the Compassion Center’s website…
