Karyn Adams Named USACE Little Rock District Engineering Chief in Arkansas

Karyn Adams has been named chief of the Engineering and Construction Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District, bringing more than 25 years of experience to the leadership role.

Adams replaces DeJuan Carter, who retired from federal service in September 2025.

In her new position, Adams serves as the senior technical advisor to the district commander while leading the Engineering and Construction Division. She oversees the Design, Construction, and Hydraulic Technical Services branches, ensuring projects are planned, designed, and built safely and efficiently in support of the district’s mission across Arkansas.

Adams began her career in the private sector before joining the Corps in 2000 as a structural engineer. She has played key roles in major regional projects, including Montgomery Point Lock and Dam and Table Rock Lake, both critical infrastructure assets in Arkansas and surrounding areas…
