City of Maumelle welcomes new police chief

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The City of Maumelle announced the appointment of a new police chief after the current one announced his retirement earlier in March.

Maumelle Mayor Caleb Norris announced that Captain Dustin Ivey, a 24-year veteran of the Maumelle Police Department, will be the city’s next chief of police. Ivey will be replacing Chief Cory Pickard, who earlier this month announced his retirement, beginning May 1, 2026.
