ABC upholds Peppermint Hippo liquor license revocation as Ribeiro family speaks out

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The family of a former Peppermint Hippo patron — who was killed shortly after being served nearly 2-dozen drinks — is speaking out after the decision to revoke the club’s alcohol license was upheld by the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (ABC).

After 34-year-old John Ribeiro died in 2021, his family has been seeking justice, and his brothers say the ABC’s decision to revoke the club’s license is a very good start.
