Arkansas rocket fan goes viral after witnessing historic Artemis launch

An 11-year-old Arkansas boy’s passion for rockets turned into a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an unexpected viral moment.

Hilt Boling, a Little Rock native, traveled to Cape Canaveral over spring break to watch NASA’s Artemis II launch, the first crewed mission toward the moon in more than 50 years. What started as a school project interest has grown into a full-blown passion, with Boling proudly calling himself a “rocket nerd.”
