MEMPHIS, Tenn. – An officer was injured during the arrest of a suspect who led police on a chase in Marion, Arkansas, on Monday afternoon, the Marion Arkansas Police Department said.
According to police, while an officer was placing the suspect into the patrol unit, the suspect began fighting the officer and was able to take control of the unit and drive away.
Marion Police officers, with the assistance of the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, West Memphis Police Department, and Arkansas State Police, were able to find the stolen patrol car, which led to a pursuit.
