BELLA VISTA, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson says he’s deeply honored following an announcement that the Bella Vista Bypass would be renamed after him.
A minute order included in the Arkansas Highway Commission’s April 1 presentation said the naming rights for the I-49 corridor from the U.S. Highway 71 interchange to the Missouri state line will be renamed in honor of the former governor.
“It’s a great stretch of road, and it also is around my roots. I grew up in Gravette, Springdale, practiced law in Bentonville. I lived in Bella Vista. So, having this highway going through the heart of where I grew up as a young person makes it even more special,” Hutchison said…
